JOURNAL

Journal — A selection of articles, essays, and images that explore Grönlandet — formerly the National Insurance Institute (Riksförsäkringsanstalten) — completed in 1932 by architect Sigurd Lewerentz in Stockholm.

Here we gather writing and photography that trace the building’s history and its continued resonance in architecture and design culture. From its inclusion among The New York Times Style Magazine’s “8 Buildings to See in Stockholm” to recent features and documentaries on Nordic design history, Grönlandet remains a living reference point in the work of Lewerentz and Swedish modernism.
